Junior Earl “Pops” Watson

Mr. Junior Earl “Pops” Watson, age 71 of Gainesville, passed away on Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.

Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, September 2, 2016 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.  Mrs. Stacey Watson and Reverend Keith Phagan will officiate.  The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 1, 2016 from 6 – 8 pm at the funeral home.

Mr. Watson was born January 15, 1945 in Gainesville, Georgia to the late Royce Watson and Callie Ward Watson.  He was retired from MarJac Poultry.  Pops was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Patsy Sullens and Betty Sue Saine.  

Mr. Watson is survived by his daughters & sons-in-law, Frances “Missie” & Darrell Farmer and Felicia “Lisa” & Michael Maddox, all of Gainesville, daughters, Tina Sanders and Judy Simmons, both of Gainesville, sons, Jeffery Earl Watson and Robert Kendricks, both of Gainesville, 8 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, brothers & sisters-in-law, Phillip & Lynn Watson and Terry & Stacey Watson, all of Gainesville and brothers-in-law, Alfred Sullens and Alton Saine, both of Gainesville.
