Margaret Carolyn Westbrook, age 78, of Cumming passed away Sunday, September 4, 2016. A loving wife, mother, grandmama and sister, Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents, Roy Cannon and Jane Cannon McCurry. A member of Macedonia United Methodist Church, she loved cooking and, most of all, spending time with her family.
Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Bennett Westbrook of Cumming; daughters and sons-in-law, Janet and Hal Pruitt of Cumming, Julia and Mike Whitley of Ball Ground; grandchildren, Carla (Rusty) Gober of Cumming, Carmen Pruitt of Cumming and Madison Whitley of Ball Ground; great grandchildren, Rayden, Reece and Ava Gober; a brother, Jimmy Cannon of Canton; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 7, at 11:00 a.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Terry Cowart and Rev. Rusty Gober officiating. Interment will follow at Holbrook Campground Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
