Michael Ronald LaMorte

Mr. Michael Ronald LaMorte, age 85, of Hoschton passed away Sunday, September 4, 2016, at his residence with family.

Memorial Services will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, September 11, 2016 in the Chapel of Memorial Park South Funeral Home with inurnment following at Memorial Park South Cemetery.  Rev. Michael Day will officiate.  The family will receive friends 1:00 – 2:00 p.m., Sunday, September 11, 2016 at Memorial Park South Funeral Home.

Mr. LaMorte was born March 29, 1931 to the late John & Grace LaMorte in Altoona, Pennsylvania.  He was a member of Celebration Church and the American Legion.  After retiring from the National Security Agency, where he had been a Contracts Manager, Mr. LaMorte was a tour guide at Eisenhower Farm in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania and taught Real Estate for Long& Foster Realty in Frederick, Maryland.

Mr. LaMorte is survived by his wife of 60 years, Viola LaMorte of Hoschton; sons, Michael (Lori) LaMorte of Braselton, John S. LaMorte of Urbana, Maryland and Matthew C. (Kathy) LaMorte of Nashville, Tennessee; 6 grandchildren; brothers, John LaMorte of Indiana, Pennsylvania and Robert LaMorte of Altoona, Pennsylvania; sister, Clara Hite of Altoona, Pennsylvania; and several nieces & nephews.
