Angela "Ann" Whitmire Martin

Angela "Ann" Whitmire Martin, age 77, died Tuesday, September 6th, 2016.

Born in Gainesville, Georgia, in 1938, Ann was one of eight children, and the only girl, born to Dan and Pauline Whitmire.

Ann married Kermett Martin in 1958. She is survived by Kermett, their four children, Cindy Balest, Tim Martin, Kim Smith, and Jody Martin; six grandchildren, Danielle Causey, Zach Balest, Nick Wright, Alexis Knapp, and Braeden and Bentley Martin; and four great-grandchildren, Carter, McCallan, and Rhodes Causey and Phinn Knapp. She is also survived by four brothers, J.D. Whitmire, E.I. "Whit" Whitmire, Dwight Whitmire, and Rod Whitmire. Anyone who knew Ann was aware that family brought her great joy and was her proudest accomplishment.

Ann was well known for her catering and floral skills. Her special touch impacted many individuals through meals, weddings, parties, and funerals.

Visitation will be held at Little & Davenport Funeral Home & Crematory on Thursday, September 8th from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m.  The funeral will be held at the Little & Davenport Chapel on Friday, September 9th at 2:00 p.m.
