Schaefer G. Sharpe

Schaefer G. Sharpe, age 74, of Cumming passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2016.  A native of Charlotte, NC. Scheafer was a U.S. Army veteran and was retired from Lucent Technologies.  He was an avid collector of diecast cars, planes and military artifacts.  Schaefer loved animals, going to the movies, dining out and building model airplanes. He was also loved by his family.

Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Linda Sharpe of Cumming; children, Lindsay Sharpe of Atlanta, Scott Sharpe of Austin, TX, Sherrie Whitman of Fayetteville; Russell Sharpe of Senoia; a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, October 16, at 2:00 p.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ruben Boling and Mr. Gary Benjamin officiating.  Interment, with Military Honors, will be Monday, October 17, at 11:30 a.m. at Georgia National Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Sunday from 12:00 noon until the time of the service.
