Henry Edison Tompkins

Mr. Henry Edison Tompkins, age 84, of Commerce, GA died Thursday, October 13, 2016 at his residence. Mr. Tompkins was born in Westminster, SC to the late J.B. Tompkins, Jr. and Tommie Freeman Tompkins. He was a veteran of the United States Army and was retired from Hill Haven Nursing Home.

Mr. Tompkins is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Ballenger Tompkins of Commerce; children, Richard Tompkins of Westminster, SC, Deborah Tollison of Seneca, SC, Mike Hoxit of Central, SC and Terri Hoxit of Commerce; brother, Jim Tompkins of Seneca, SC; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 11 AM, Saturday, October 15 at the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce with Rev. Donald Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in Oconee Memorial Park, Seneca, SC. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 10 to 11 AM.
