Sharon Lee Burdick

With deepest regret, we announce the passing of Sharon Lee Burdick, 72, of Sautee-Nacoochee, GA on October 20, 2016.  A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday, October 25 at the Episcopal Church of the Resurrection, at 1755 Duncan Bridge Road, Sautee-Nacooche.  Visitation with family and friends to be held immediately following.  The service will be open-air, weather permitting.

Sharon Lee Burdick was a nurse, mother, grandmother, and cherished friend to many.  Remaining family includes sons Michael J Paff, Matthew B Paff, and Jeffrey W Paff; son-in-law Danny S Webb, daughter-in-law Debra W Paff; grandchildren Myles Paff and Annabelle Paff.

Our lives are but passing shadows on the wall of eternity, and sometimes, when the darkness becomes engulfing, a light blossoms that draws hope from despair.  So do we remember Sharon Lee Burdick, who touched the lives of so many, who comforted the anguished and cared for the dying, who brought courage and grace to the suffering, who drew strength from weakness, and who will never, never, never be forgotten.

Ms. Burdick was a professional nurse, with post-graduate certification, that specialized in home health and wound care.  She volunteered at Caring Hands clinic, treating indigent patients, and the Food Pantry.

The family encourages those who cherish her memory to donate to the Humane Society Mountain Shelter animal rescue of Blairsville, Georgia and Caring Hands Health Clinic of Cleveland, Georgia in her name.
