Edwin Edward “Ed” Miller

Mr. Edwin Edward “Ed” Miller, age 90 of Toccoa, Georgia passed away Sunday, October 23, 2016 at Pruitt Health Toccoa.

A son of the late Columbus Jackson and Mamie Mae Justice Miller, he was born November 22, 1925 in Stephens County, Georgia where he lived all his life.  He was retired from the Stephens County School system having worked in the cafeteria for a number of years.  He was a member of Old Toccoa Baptist Church.  He loved to fish, hunt and sing.

Survivors include his wife of the home, Lorena Yearwood Miller; two sons and daughters-in-law, David and Denisa Miller and Roger and Imelda Miller both of Toccoa; grandchildren, Stephanie VanVoorst, Megan and Jesse Lewis, Justin Miller and Jason Miller; great-granddaughter, Chloe Lewis; three brothers, Starling Miller and Guy Miller both of Toccoa and Richard Miller of Lancaster, South Carolina; sister, Lucille Davis of Toccoa.

Graveside services will be Tuesday, October 25, 2016,  11 O’clock AM at the Old Toccoa Baptist Church Cemetery with The Reverend Roger Elrod and The Reverend Jerrell Beatty officiating.

The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Tuesday from 10 AM until 10:45.  Online condolences can be made by visiting the website atwww.acree-davisfh.com.

Interment will follow in the Old Toccoa Baptist Church Cemetery with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Mr. Edwin Edward “Ed” Miller.
