Robert L. Phillips

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mr. Robert L. Phillips, age 84, of Jefferson, Georgia who entered into rest Wednesday, October 26, 2016.  Mr. Phillips was born in Jefferson, Georgia a son of the late Melvin and Myrtie Greer Phillips, was retired from Standard Coosa Thatcher and was a member of Crooked Creek Baptist Church.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Phillips is preceded by a brother, James Phillips and two sisters, Evelyn Wilder and Annie Nell Cain.

Survivors include his wife of fifty-eight years, Bonnie Abernathy Phillips of Jefferson, two sons, Glenn Phillips and his wife Desiree of Jefferson and Bobby Phillips of Gainesville.  Daughter, Lisa Wilson and her husband Trent of Commerce.  Two sisters; Julia Phillips of Jefferson and Roberta Waldrup of Jefferson.  Eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, October 28, 2016 from the Crooked Creek Baptist Church with Dr. Tom Miles, Reverend James Kanady, and Reverend Brenson Jennings officiating with burial to follow in the Crooked Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.  Gentlemen honored as pallbearers are Phillip Stringer, Jonathan Stringer, Wesley Cain, Tommy Phillips, Lamar Waldrup and Darrell Phillips.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, October 27, 2016 4:00 – 8:00 P.M.
