Harold Stanley

Mr. Harold Stanley, age 78, of Flowery Branch passed away Friday, October 28, 2016 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center – Braselton.

A Celebration of Life will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at Redwine United Methodist Church.  Rev. Bill Berry will officiate.  The family will receive friends following the service at the church.

Mr. Stanley was born July 5, 1938 in Hemphill, West Virginia to the late George A. and Katherine Wallace Stanley.  He was an active member of Redwine United Methodist Church, served in the U.S. Army, Old Iron Sides Regiment and was retired from General Service Administration.  He was an awesome husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

Mr. Stanley is survived by his wife of 56 years, Gloria Martin Stanley of Flowery Branch; son & daughter-in-law, Buddy & Jill Stanley of Flowery Branch; daughters & sons-in-law, Tammy & Randy Jones of South Mills, North Carolina and Tracey & Tommy Barnette of Flowery Branch; 8 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; brother & sister-in-law, George & Diana Stanley of The Villages, Florida; and several nieces & nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Erma June Cantrell.
