Charles Edgar Lamb, age 72 of Cumming, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, November 12, 2016. He was co-owner of Bennett's Marine. He spent most of his life on the lake and had a love for boats. Charles always had a smile on his face and loved helping other people. He lived life to the fullest. He was preceded in death by his father, John E. Lamb; brother, Donald Lamb; mother-in-law, Mable Williams.
He is survived by his wife, Sally Jo Lamb of Cumming; son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Julie Lamb of Cumming; steps sons, Michael (Melinda) McBrayer of Greenville, SC, John (Jennifer) McBrayer of Cumming; mother, Virginia Lamb of Cumming; brothers and sisters-in-law, Dennis and Rita Lamb of Cumming, Michael and Connie Lamb of Cumming; sisters and brothers-in-law, Dorothy and Jackie Thomason of Cumming, Judy and Tallmadge Adams of Cumming; grandchildren, Bowen Miller, Jordan McBrayer both of Greenville, SC, Jamie (Brooks) Ross of Cumming, Shay Bailey of Foley, AL; great grandchildren, Piper Cagle of Cumming, Bailey and Noah Huhn both of Foley, AL; mother of his son, Elaine Lamb of Dawsonville; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Anita and Alvin Kilpatrick of Augusta; special friends, A. J. and Hunter Olsen both of Dawsonville.
Memorial services will be held Friday, November 18th at 11:00 am at Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ruel Martin and Rev. Danny Bennett officiating. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Thursday from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm and 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm and Friday from 9:00 am until hour of service.
