Doris Ann Patterson Prater

Mrs. Doris Ann Patterson Prater, age 75 of Gainesville, passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2016 at her residence following an extended illness. 

Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at 3:30 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.  Reverend Dave Allman and Reverend Trevor Stevens will officiate. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 from 6 – 8 pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Prater was born August 29, 1941 in Gainesville, Georgia to Cecil Patterson and Annie Lou Tanner Patterson.  She was a homemaker and a member of Life Point Assembly of God.  Doris was preceded in death by her father, Cecil Patterson, her husband, Jerry Prater, her sons, Stevie Prater and Mike Prater, her sister, Polly Patterson and her brother, Adam Patterson.

Mrs.  Prater is survived by her daughter & son-in-law, Jan & Michael Stevens of Gainesville, her mother, Annie Lou Patterson of Gainesville, grandchildren, Trevor Stevens and Jacob Stevens, her brothers, Johnny Patterson, Billy Patterson, Ronny Patterson and Joey Patterson, all of Gainesville and her sister, Debbie Patterson of Gainesville.

Memorial Park Funeral Home, 2030 Memorial Park Road, Gainesville, GA  30504 is in charge of arrangements.
