Anita Jo Vinson Singleton

Mrs. Anita Jo Vinson Singleton, age 55 of 5613 Oak Valley Road, Toccoa, Georgia passed away Monday, November 14, 2016 at Gentiva Hospice-Athens Regional Medical Center.

A daughter of  Anita Joyce Milford Vinson Griffin and the late Jimmy Vinson, she was born December 3, 1960 in Waco, Texas having lived in Stephens County most of her life.  She was employed with Fruit of the Loom for a number of years and had to retire due to health reasons.  She was of the Baptist faith.  She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Joe Vinson and by her step-father, Randy Griffin.

Survivors include her mother, Anita Joyce Milford Vinson Griffin of Mt. Airy; her  husband of the home, David Singleton; daughter and son-in-law, Chasity and Chuck Watson of Martin; son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Kim Heaton of Toccoa; brother, Tim Vinson of Mt., Airy; two sisters, Gail Crump of Martin and Brenda Herron of Toccoa; grandchildren, Brittian Watson, McKenzie Watson, Madison Heaton and Maki Heaton; mother-in-law, Hylon Defoor Singleton of Toccoa; father-in-law, Ralph Singleton of Toccoa; a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Thursday, November 17, 2016, 7 O’clock PM in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Roger Elrod officiating.

The family will be at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Chris Heaton, 1709 Prather Bridge Road, Toccoa and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Thursday from 5 PM until the service time. Online condolences can be made at www.acree-davisfh.com.
