Vera Lee Jackson

Mrs. Vera Lee Jackson, age 89, of Royston died Thursday, November 17, 2016 at Gentiva Hospice at Athens Regional Medical Center.  Mrs. Jackson was born in Commerce to the late, Homer Milton and Lilie Mae Greene Matthews.  Mrs. Jackson was retired from Gold Kist and was a member of Antioch United Methodist Church.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Jackson was also preceded in death by her husband, Sylvester Jackson.

Mrs. Jackson is survived by her daughters, Sheila Standridge of Royston and Sandra Glenn of Pickens, SC; sons, David and Darrell Jackson both of Nicholson; sister, Opal Fields of Ila; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held Sat. Nov. 19^th at 2:00 PM from Antioch United Methodist Church with Dr. Marshall Bruner officiating with the interment following in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends Saturday at the church from 1-2 PM.
