Guinnett Chester Holtzclaw, 64, of Dawsonville passed away Monday November 14, 2016.
Born April 2, 1952 to the late Arvel “Bit” and Elsie Bearden Chester, she was a lifelong resident of Dawson County. Guinnett was a 1971 graduate of Dawson County High School and was formerly employed at H. D. Lee in Jasper. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Genna Mercedes Holtzclaw and a brother, Richard Chester.
Surviving are her husband of 45 years, Ray Holtzclaw, Dawsonville; son, Benji Holtzclaw, Dawsonville; grandchildren, Diana Holtzclaw, Porsha Holtzclaw, Alexis Holtzclaw; great granddaughters, Genna Holtzclaw, Brianna Holtzclaw; someone very special in her life, Amy Etheridge; sister, Deborah Chester Padgett, Dawsonville; brother and sister in law, Hermon and Martha Chester, Dawsonville; and a number of other relatives.
Memorial services will be held Sunday, November 20, 2016 at 2 o’clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Tony Holtzclaw will officiate.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 12 noon until the service hour.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the funeral home to assist with final expenses.
