Christine Abee White

Christine Abee White, age 86, of Cornelia, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, November 17, 2016.

Mrs. White was born on October 13, 1930, in Lumpkin County, Georgia, to the late Fred and Emma Barrett Abee. She was also preceded in death by brothers: Roy, Charles, Morris, Fred, Christopher, and George Abee and sisters, Doris Abee and Bobbie Miller. Mrs. White was a member of Harmony Grove United Methodist Church, where she was very active having served in several different capacities.

Survivors include her loving husband of 58 years, Gene White, Cornelia; daughter and son-in-law, Leah and David Park, Cornelia; son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Daphne White, Cornelia; son, John White and partner, Anthony Tovar, Palm Springs, CA; sisters, Iola Daniel, Tucker and Bonnell Robinson, Cleveland; brothers, Eli Abee, Palm Coast, FL and Herbert Abee, Cleveland; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, November 26, 2016, at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, Georgia, with Rev. Jan Devereaux officiating.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until the memorial hour on Saturday, November 26, 2016, at the funeral home.
