Dorothy Mauderie Gosnell McIntyre

Dorothy Mauderie Gosnell McIntyre, age 79, of Toccoa, Georgia, formerly of Clarkesville, Georgia, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, November 21, 2016, at her home.

Mrs. McIntyre was born on March 7, 1937, in Habersham County, Georgia, to the late Howard and Rosa Gosnell. She was also preceded in death by sisters, Louise Hallford and Catherine McClain. Mrs. McIntyre retired from Orbit Manufacturing Company with 34 years of loyal and dedicated service. She was a member of Old Nacoochee Missionary Baptist Church where she loved going to worship services and serving her church. Mrs. McIntyre cherished spending quality time with her family and friends. She thoroughly enjoyed making crafts and sewing.

Survivors include her beloved husband of 60 years, Roy Lee McIntyre, Toccoa; sons and daughters-in-law: David and Renie McIntyre, Turnerville, Freddy and Roxann McIntyre, Clarkesville, and Johnny and Vickie McIntyre, Clarkesville; son, Doug McIntyre, Toccoa; ten grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00 pm on Wednesday, November 23, 2016, at Old Nacoochee Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Joel Shadburn and Rev. Bill Trotter officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-9 pm on Tuesday, November 22, 2016, at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, Georgia.
