Jerry Benton Free

Funeral service for Jerry Benton Free, age 71, of Clarkesville will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at 1:00 PM from the Hillside Memorial Chapel with Rev. Larry Free and Rev. Ronnie Powell officiating. Interment will follow the service in Hillside Gardens Cemetery.

Mr. Free passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2016.

Born in Habersham County on November 25, 1944, Mr. Free was the son of the late Vance and Minnie Dean Free. He was a supervisor for Davey Tree and a Pike Electric lineman. In addition to his parents, Mr. Free is preceded in death by brothers Norris Free and Gerald Free.

Survivors include his wife Lenell Ferguson Free of Clarkesville, daughter and son in law Jerri Ann and Jeff Bragg of Clarksville, Tennessee, son and daughter in law Ben and Dena Free of Clarkesville, brother and sister in law Rev. Larry and Deborah Free of Clarkesville, sister Ann Free of Clarkesville, and sister and brother in law Peggy and Cosby Barron of the Batesville Community as well as grandchildren Garrett and Layne Bragg and Lillie Francis and Hayes Free.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, November 25th from 7:00 AM until 9:00 PM.
