Dorothy Josephine Tant Scarborough

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mrs. Dorothy Josephine Tant Scarborough, age 91 of Winder, Georgia who entered into rest Tuesday, December 13, 2016.  Mrs. Scarborough was born in Rome, Georgia the daughter of the late James Mannon Tant and the late Rebecca Annie Lou Walker, was a homemaker and of the Christian Faith.  In addition to her parents Mrs. Scarborough is preceded by her husband James Clark Scarborough and two sons, John Lewis Armstrong and James David Armstrong.

Survivors include three sons, Julian Forrest Armstrong of Jefferson, Donnie Kenneth Armstrong of Covington, and Johnny Milton Armstrong of Winder.  Four daughters, Lottie Mae Webb of Stockbridge, Donna Linda Fitch of Marietta, Eunice Fay Pickens of Loganville, and Mary Elizabeth Howell of Kennesaw.  Numerous Grand, Great and Great Great Grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Thursday, December 15, 2016 from the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with burial to follow in Barrow Memorial Gardens, Winder, Georgia.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service, 12:00 – 1:00 P.M.
