Noah Lee Thompson

Mr. Noah Lee Thompson, 67, of Cornelia, Georgia passed away on December 29, 2016 due to an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 5, 2017 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Reverend Drewery Loggins will officiate.  Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery in Lula, GA. The family will receive friends on Wednesday January 4, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. -8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Born in Lula, GA., on November 22, 1949, He was the son of the late Jessie O. and Ora Lewallen Thompson. He was retired from the State of GA, Department of Transportation. Mr. Thompson sung with Sunny South Quartet for 15 years and at Paul’s in Helen for 15 years.  He was a member of Temple Church in Columbus.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Thompson is preceded in death by his sister, Joyce Worley; brothers Cohen Loggins and Emory Loggins.

Mr. Thompson is survived by his sons and daughters in law, Kirk and Kelly Thompson of Parker, CO., Adam and Andrea Thompson of Lula; grandchildren, Jordan, Meredith. Paige, Nora, Lillian, Eva, Gibson, Bailey; sister, Laverne Tumlin of Greensboro, NC; brother and sister in law, Rev. Drewery and Jeanette Loggins of Gainesville; brother, Billy Thompson of Gainesville and a number of nieces and nephews.
