James "Jim" Douglas Owens

James "Jim" Douglas Owens, age 77 of Clarkesville passed away Monday, January 9, 2017.  Memorial services will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Grace-Calvary Episcopal Church with Father Sam Buice officiating. 

Born in Columbus, Georgia on March 21, 1939, Mr. Owens was the son of the late Milledge and Susan Frazier Owens.  He was a United States Army Veteran and he was the Director of Human Resources for Cigna Insurance Company.  He was a member of Grace-Calvary Episcopal Church. 

In addition to his parents, Mr. Owens is preceded in death by sisters Debbie Borwiecki and Patricia White. 

Survivors include his wife Diane Brinson Owens of Clarkesville and brother and sister in law M. G. And Bonnie Owens of Phoenix, Alabama.
