Harold Lewis Aikens

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at Calvary Baptist Church

for Harold Lewis Aikens, 92, of Gainesville, GA. Rev Raymond Latty will officiate.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday

January 16,   from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm – 8:00pm at the funeral home.

Mr. Aikens was a lifelong resident of Hall County and was the son of the late

Jasper and Annie Whitfield Aikens. He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in the

Army Airforce during WWII . Mr. Aikens was retired from Colonial Grocery

Store, Big Star Grocery, Bell’s Food Store, J & J Foods and Hall County Compactor

Site at Allen Creek. He was preceded in death by his wife Sara Simpson Aikens.

Survivors include son & daughter-in-law, Larry and Fay Aikens, Gainesville; daughter,

Elizabeth Aikens, Gainesville; daughter & son-in-law, Joyce and Danny Knight, Gainesville;

brother, Merrel Aikens, New Hampshire;  brother & sister-in-law,

Curtis and Linda Aikens, Gainesville;  sister, Louise Aikens, Gainesville; 5 grandchildren;
