Robert “Bob” Nelson Hurley

Mr. Robert “Bob” Nelson Hurley, age 85 of 295 Davis Road, Eastanollee passed away Tuesday January 17, 2017 at St. Mary’s Hospice House.

A son of the late George and Myrtle Hurley, he was born on October 5, 1931 in Oceanport, New Jersey having lived in Florida for most of his life and the last 10 years in Stephens County. He was a Veteran of the United States Marines having served during the Korean War. He was a retired Owner/Operator of a service station and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of the home, Jane Krug Hurley; four daughters and sons-in-law, Catherine and Glenn Mingledorff, Susie Hurley, Keri and Mike Sapp and Kateri and Clayton Mealor; one son and daughter-in-law, Robert E. and Debbie Hurley; one granddaughter, Renee Adams and husband Chris and one great-grandson, Easton Adams.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday January 28, 2017 at 3 P.M. at New Hope Baptist Church with the Reverend David Sosebee officiating.

Flowers are to be omitted and memorials be made to the Stephens County Gideon’s, P.O. Box 663 Toccoa, Georgia 30577 in memory of Mr. Robert “Bob” Nelson Hurley.
