Margaret Jane McShane Sutton, age 64 of Clarkesville passed away January 25, 2017.
Margaret was born on May 24, 1952 in Athens, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Hugh Patrick McShane and Margaret Ruth Short McShane. Margaret was a member of Clarkesville First United Methodist Church. Margaret was a graduate of Gainesville College in Oakwood, Georgia. She was a homemaker who loved her friends and pets. Margaret was a compassionate person who shared her gifts and was an encouragement to others. Margaret was an avid reader and she enjoyed going to concerts and cooking southern food for her family and friends. Her sweet tea and spitfire personality will be missed by everyone.
Survivors include her husband Brian L. Sutton, sons Charles Drayton McShane Sutton and Matthew Ryan McShane Sutton his wife Kayla Lee Sutton, two granddaughters Skyler Dawn Sutton and Mallory Grace Sutton, one step grandson Bryson Hunter, brother Patrick Kendall McShane and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Clarkesville United Methodist Church with Rev. Brian Butler, Rev. David Bost, Dr. Phil DeMore, and Rev. Tom Fish officiating. A celebration reception will follow the service in the church fellowship hall.
