Charlese Edward Ramsey

Charles Edward Ramsey, III, 71, of Gainesville passed away on Friday January 27, 2017 following a brief illness.

          Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 30, 2017 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Pastor Garry Merritt and Pastor Tim Merritt will officiate. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, January 30, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.

          Born on January 4, 1946, in Gainesville, GA., he was the son of the late Charles Ramsey, II and of Ora Faith Johnson Ramsey. Mr. Ramsey was retired from Walmart and a member of First Baptist Church.

          Mr. Ramsey is survived by his daughter and son in law, Octavia and Jemar Raheem of Atlanta; the mother of his children, Annette Knight; daughters, Africa Ramsey, Asia Ramsey; mother, Ora Faith Ramsey; sisters, Clara Dorsey, Ophelia Williams all of Gainesville; brother, John Wesley Ramsey of Flowery Branch; grandchildren, Ja’marie Ramsey, Jamilah Manning, Kensley Peterson, Oyetunde Raheem; a host of nieces and nephews, and a number of other relative and friends.
