Mrs. Gwinetta Mitchell Anglin, 59, of Commerce, GA., passed away January 27, 2017 following an extended illness.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 30, 2017 in the chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Jerry Kidd will officiate. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, January 29, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Born in Petersburg, KY on April 28, 1957, she was the daughter of the late Orville and Golda May Jones Mitchell. She graduated with BS and EDS from Morehead State University in Morehead, KY. She received a Master’s of Science from the University of Tennessee. Mrs. Anglin taught at Gainesville High School as Family and Consumer Science Teacher from 1997 to 2006. She then married L.C. Anglin and became Gwinetta Mitchell Anglin and they moved to Commerce in 2006.
Mrs. Anglin is preceded in death by her father, Orville Mitchell and her mother, Golda Mae Jones DeRossett.
Mrs. Anglin is survived by her husband, L.C. Anglin of Commerce and her brother and sister in law, Barry K. and Vivian DeRossett of Georgetown, KY.; stepson, Chris Anglin of Commerce; nephews, Charlie and Andy DeRossett of Georgetown, KY.
