Howard E. Motes

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 Pm Sunday Feb. 12, 2017 in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home for Mr. Howard E. Motes 83 of Gainesville. Mr. Motes died Thursday Feb. 9, 2017 at the Northeast Ga. Medical Center. The family will receive friends from 4-8Pm Sat. Feb. 11, 2017 at the funeral home.

He was preceded in death by His Parents, Early & Ethel Lovell Motes, a daughter Charlesanna, a granddaughter, Lindsey Motes, 5 brothers and 2 sisters.

The Rev. Austin Kelly will officiate with interment to follow in the Union Grove Congregational Holiness Cemetery in Cleveland, Ga. Mr. Motes was a self-employed block mason and served in the U.S. Army. He will be remembered for his cooking, kindness and being a jokester. He loved all of his Children and Grand Kids.

Mr. Motes is survived by his children Michael Motes of Jessup, Daughter & Son-n-law Connie & Denver Armour of Gainesville, Daughter Carol Motes of Gainesville, Brother- Travis Motes of Gainesville, Grandchildren- Tia, Krista, Charlesanna, Taylor, Shanna, Bradon, Kayla, Caleb, Great Grandchildren Hayden, Blair, Zane, Sophia, Shayan, Celeste, Katlin, Gatlin, Ethan.
