Lourilla B. Allen

Mrs. Lourilla B. Allen, 85, of Gainesville passed away February 14, 2017 at Gracemont Assisted Living.

          A funeral service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 18, 2017 in the chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Vernie Worley will officiate.

Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, February 17, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday, February 18, 2017 from 11:30 a.m. until the service hour.

          Born on September 9, 1931 in Demorest, GA she was the daughter of the late William Marlin Barrett and Nettie Harrison Barrett. She retired from AT&T where she was Chief Operator. Mrs. Allen was a member of First Baptist Church, Cumming.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Boyd Virgil Allen; daughter, Lauri Jane Allen; grandson, Robert Wesley Allen

          Mrs. Allen is survived by her sons and daughters in law, Jack and Charlene Allen of Gainesville, Ron and Cheryl Allen of Marietta; grandchildren, Heda Burdzovic, Jessica Leterle, Megan Allen, Christina Leterle, Christian Allen, sister, Nan Groll of TN.
