Nancy Lee Watkins

Nancy Lee Watkins, age 87 of Cleveland and formerly of Mt. Airy passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2017.

Born in Banks County, Georgia on February 26, 1930, she was a daughter of the late John Monroe and Jane Lee Dalton Carlan. Mrs. Watkins enjoyed life and riding around.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Philo Watkins; son, Jerry Watkins; and 2 brothers.

Surviving are her sons, Terry Lee Watkins and Tommy Watkins both of Mt. Airy; daughter, Bessie Watkins Brock of Baldwin; 2 brothers; 2 sisters; 4 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild.

Funeral services are scheduled for 3 pm, Wednesday, March 1, 2017 from the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin and Stewart Funeral Home with Bishop Clay Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in the Camp Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1-3 pm prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
