Alan William “Bill” Sommerfield

Mr. Alan William “Bill” Sommerfield, II, age 61, of Flowery Branch passed away March 12, 2017 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center, Gainesville.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 20, 2017 in the Chapel of Memorial Park South Funeral Home.  A private burial will be held following the service.  The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Sunday, March 19, 2017 at Memorial Park South Funeral Home.

Mr. Sommerfield was born October 20, 1955 to the late Alan William & Marie Emily Sommerfield, Sr. in Atlanta.  A Nascar Enthusiast, he had been a Manager for EKG Security and previously was a Volunteer Fire Fighter for the Hall County Fire Department.  He was a Certified Marina Manager and enjoyed Scuba Diving.  Bill spent most of his life on Lake Lanier as a Marina Manager and spent his spare time hauling boats.

Mr. Sommerfield is survived by his daughter, Mandy Sommerfield of Atlanta; sister, Claudia Hartley of Arizona; and nephews, Bill Hartley and Eric Hartley.
