Irene Hollis Funderburk

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mrs. Irene Hollis Funderburk, age 82 of Jefferson, Georgia who entered into rest Tuesday, March 14, 2017.  Mrs. Funderburk was born in Jefferson, Georgia a daughter of the late L. J. and Annie Maude Crane Hollis, was a member of Arcade Community Church and was a homemaker.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Funderburk is preceded by her husband, L.C. Funderburk, a son, Michael Funderburk, sisters, Judy Owens, Jean Evans and Betty Hamilton and brothers, Stanley Hollis and Hoyt Hollis.

Survivors include two sons, Rick Funderburk of Florida and Randy Funderburk of Covington.  Sister, Debbie Poole of Gainesville.  Brothers, J.D. Hollis of Royston, Jimmy Hollis of Pendergrass and Danny Hollis of Demorest.  Eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, March 17, 2017, from the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Reverend Johnny Knight officiating with burial to follow in the Pond Fork Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, March 16, 2017 5:00 – 8:00 P.M..
