Stephen J. “Steve” Brown

Stephen J. “Steve” Brown, 60 of Dawsonville passed away Wednesday March 22, 2017 at Seasons Hospice following a period of declining health.

Born July 6, 1956 in Phoenix City, Alabama to the late James and Nell Brown, he lived in Dawson County for over 10 years having moved from Olive Branch, Mississippi.  Steve grew up in McDonough, GA and retired from General Motors after 33 years of service.

Surviving are his wife of 24 years, Trina Brown, Dawsonville; children, Crystal and B. J. McGowen, South Haven, MS, Dennis Brown, Dawsonville, Tina Brown, Texas, Michael Brown, Dawsonville, Christopher Brown, Dawsonville; grandsons, Austin McGowen, Derek McGowen; sisters and brothers in law, Betty and Jim Brasher, Rock Springs, GA, Pam and Steve Lynn, McDonough, GA; brother and sister in law, Jay and Toni Brown, Chattanooga, TN; and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be held Saturday March 25, 2017 at 4 o’clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel.  Rev. Dennis Bottoms will officiate.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 2 until 4 at the funeral home.
