Clifford D. "Bob" Merritt age 79, of Dahlonega, GA, passed away on March 23, 2017.
Bob was born May 28, 1937 in Gravel Ridge, AR. He had lived in Dahlonega, GA for the past 15 years. He was a former resident of Cincinnati and Little Rock, AR. He was a Deacon at Dawsonville Baptist Church. He was the publisher of the 400 Edition newspaper for a number of years.
Bob was the son of the late Jack and Wilma Holiman Merritt and was also preceded in death by wife, Linda Merritt; brother, Arthur Merritt; sister, Mary Ruth Van Luven; and son-in-law, George Stauber.
He is survived by his wife, Martha Merritt, Dahlonega, GA; daughters and son-in-law, Becky and Paul Webberson, Rogers, AR, Ellen Stauber, Little Rock, AR; 4 step-daughters; brothers, Ronnie Merritt, Dawsonville, GA and Billy Merritt, Houston, TX; sister, Ellen Vaughn, GA. 6 grandchildren, 1 great-grandson and a number of other relatives also survive.
A Memorial Service for Bob is scheduled for 3 PM Sunday, March 26, 2017 at Dawsonville Baptist Church in Dawsonville, GA.
Dr. Jim Gaines will officiate.
