Marilyn Robinson McAlister

Marilyn Robinson McAlister, age 61, of Alto, passed away Monday, March 27, 2017.

Born on June 4, 1955, she was a daughter of late Marvin and Annie Robinson. Mrs. McAlister was employed with Dairy Queen for 14 years and was of the Baptist faith.  In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, reading, singing and flowers.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by step mother, Arvie Jean Clark; brother, Roy Robinson; sisters, Joyce Wade and Carol Dyne Robinson.

Survivors include husband, Rev. Donnie Wayne McAlister of Alto; son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie and Paula McAlister of Alto; grandchildren and spouses, Tiffani and Shawn Ivester of Alto, Ali McAlister of Cleveland and Angel and Austin Grizzle of Alto; great grandchildren, Chelsea and Char ilee Ivester of Alto; sisters, Jenette Garrett of Commerce, Pauline Jones, Mary Sue Bowman, Jane Robinson and Reba Gibson all of Toccoa; brother, Gene Robinson of Toccoa;  close friends, Martha and Michael Ivester and Diane and Jimmy Thomas.

The family will receive friends from 6-9 pm on Friday, March 31, 2017 at Refuge Worship Center, West Coker Road, Alto, Georgia 30510.
