Robert L. Major

Robert L. Major, age 69, of Gainesville, GA died peacefully in his sleep on the night of April 1st 2017. 

He was preceded in death by his mother, Lillie Mae and his father James L. Major;  grandson, Tristian Mobley;  sister, Ann Day; and  grandparents,  Richard and Susie Major.

He is survived by his wife, Charlotte;  son, Dusty; daughter, Robin and Frank Cowan; grandchildren,  Shawn and Kristle Major, Zach Ashwood, Kelly Ashwood, Josie Ford, and Demon & Zippo; sisters, Mildred and Jack Day , Dot and James Davis;  brother-in-law, Herbert Day;  sister-in-law,  Janet Thurmond;  brothers-in-law, Billy & Lisa Thurmond, Troy & Georgie Thurmond,  and numerous other relatives. 

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 PM Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at Hillside Chapel Funeral Home in Gainesville, GA.

Interment will follow in Hillside Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday April 4, 2017 from 1pm-6pm, and Wednesday April 5 2017, from 11am-2pm
