Alexander Funeral Home of Cleveland announces the death of Mrs.Drucilla ‘Trudy”Abernathy, age 77 of Cleveland. Mrs Abernathy passed away Sunday, April 9, 2017. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00pm, Wednesday, April 12, 2017 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jody Winkler and Rev. Ronnie Abernathy officiating. Interment will follow in Dukes Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
Trudy was born in Towns County on November 28, 1939 to the late William Gribble and Virdie Foster Gribble. She was a homemaker and had lived most of her life in White County . Trudy was a member Eastview Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Rev. Charles Abernathy, Cleveland; sons, Mitchell Abernathy ( Melanie), Cleveland, Rev. Roger Abernathy (Patricia) and Rev. Rondal Abernathy (Pam) of Blairsville; grandchildren, Erica Abernathy, Heather Abernathy, Caffus Abernathy, Kayla Abernathy, Haley Abernathy and Holly Abernathy; great grandchildren, McKensie, Cole and Paige
