Thelma Christena Ammons Baker

Mrs. Thelma Christena Ammons Baker, 99, of Gainesville, passed away   Sunday, May 7, 2017 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

          Mrs. Baker was born on June 9, 1917 to the late James M. Ammons Gladys Christena Ammons. She retired from the State of Georgia in 1962 as a switch board operator. Mrs. Baker was a member of First Baptist Church of Atlanta.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Baker is preceded in death by her son, Kenneth Baker, Jr.; brother, Manuel Ammons, Jack Ammons; sister, Francis Mitchell, Marjorie Mallonee.

Mrs. Baker is survived by her daughter, Jaye Baker; grandchildren, Pamela Milton, Patricia Carter, great grandchildren, Todd  and Megan Milton, Troy and Hannah Milton Jenna Carter; great-great grandchildren, Skyler Milton, Brady Milton, Jaxson Milton, Amelia Milton; brother, Dan Ammons; sister, Betty Ammons; grandson in law, Mark Milton.
