Emory Harrison Williams

Mr. Emory Harrison Williams, age 71 of 489 Currahee Circle, Toccoa passed away Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at his residence.

A son of the late Thomas E. and Grace Wilmot Williams, he was born November 18, 1945 in Stephens County, Georgia where he lived all his life.  He was retired from Yancey Brothers and later was a a self-employed welder.  He was a member of Rock Creek Baptist and attended Carnes Creek Baptist Church.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Jackie Moore.

Survivors include his wife of the home, Barbara Bennett Williams; daughter and son-in-law, Trenia and Mike Traynor of Martin, Georgia; two sons and daughter-in-law, Travis and Lynn Williams of Carnesville and Tony Williams of Toccoa; four grandchildren, T.J. Williams, Michael Williams, Michael Traynor and Brandon Traynor; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Gary Williams of Toccoa, Hampton and Hilda Williams of Snellville and Danny Sheryl Williams of Wynne, Arkansas; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Annie Mae Davis and Bonda and Terry Sheriff both of Toccoa and Joan and Donald Walker of Villa Rica; brother-in-law, Marvin Moore of Toccoa; number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Saturday, May 13, 1 O’clock P.M. in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Dr. Tim Miller officiating.  The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, T.J. Williams, Allen Williams, Michael Traynor, Brandon Traynor, Dustin Williams and Dylan Wilbanks.

The family will be at the home on Currahee Circle and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Friday from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M.  Online condolences can be made at www.acree-davisfh.com.

Interment will follow in the Carnes Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Mr. Emory Harrison Williams.
