Stanley Jerrell Little

Obituary Date: Sunday, May 14, 2017

Mr. Stanley Jerrell Little, 64 of Clarkesville formerly of Gainesville died Sunday May 14, 2017 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Born in DeKalb County, Mr. Little had lived in Hall County for a number of years before moving to Habersham County.  Stanley worked with SKF for 40 years.  He was loved by all who knew him.  He loved his family, cars, playing his banjo, and enjoying retirement.  He was in the process of helping build a new church where they were going at the time of his death, The Welcome Worship Center.  He was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Dianne Peck Little, Clarkesville; son and daughter-in-law, Brad and Amanda Little, Sebring, Florida; daughter and son-in-law, Paige and Daniel Craven, Talmo; stepson and wife, Craig and Jessica Sauls, Gainesville; Grandchildren,  Aaron Little, Tyler & Paris Craven, Breanna and Cole Sieveking, Carigan, Corbin, and  Case Sauls; his children's mother, Connie Berryman;  Stanley's mother, Bertha Little, Oakwood; brothers and sisters-in-law, Sam Little, Gainesville; Steve and Charlene Little, Gainesville; Randy and Patti Little, Gainesville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Joyce and Johnnie McLamb, Raleigh, North Carolina; Lynn and David Bagwell, Oakwood; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Steve and Angela Peck, Stan and Angie Peck, all of Cleveland and many nieces and nephews who held a special place in his heart.

Stanley is preceded in death by his father, Victor B. Little.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday May 18, 2017 at the Poplar Springs Baptist Church. Rev. Jimmy Peck and Rev. David Matthews will officiate.  Interment will be in the Poplar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Heath West officiating.  The family will receive friends at Little & Davenport Funeral Home Wednesday May 17, 2017 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.

In lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorial contributions be made to The Welcome Worship Center Building Fund, 12293 Highway 19 North, Dahlonega, Ga.  30533 in memory of Stanley.
