Everett Jenkins

Everett Jenkins, age 86, of Marble, North Carolina, formerly of Buford, GA passed away Sunday, May 21, 2017. He is survived by his wife of thirteen years, Ruby Baswell Jenkins; children, Brenda Brown Anderson, Buford, GA, Kenneth and Vicky Jenkins, Buford, GA; stepchildren, Sandy and William Head, Marble, NC, Tammy and David McEver, Griffin, GA; sister, Shirley Jenkins Davis, White Springs, FL; brothers, Jimmy Jenkins, Winder, GA, David Jenkins, Winder, GA; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Jenkins was born September 14, 1930 in Lawrenceville, GA. He was retired from Humphries Block Company in Doraville as a truck driver for over thirty years. He also worked for Kelly B. Willard Wrecker and Ice Plant for a number of years, and for W. J. Dodd Battery shop. He attended faithfully at Sunnyside Baptist Church in Marble, North Carolina. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at 12:00 noon in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Henry Lacky and Rev. DeWayne Payne officiating. Interment will follow at Peachtree Road Baptist Church Cemetery in Suwanee, GA with a graveside service officiated by Rev. L. C. Bennett. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
