Winfred Andrew Conner

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday May 24, 2017 at Ward’s Funeral Home Chapel for Winfred Andrew Conner, age 80 of Clermont. Interment will follow at Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.  Tuesday and 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Mr. Conner passed away Sunday May 21, 2017 at Lanier Park New Horizons.

Mr. Conner did hatchery work most of his life, retiring from Crystal Farms Hatchery. He was of the Baptist faith. He loved to camp and fish, and was loved by all who knew him. Mr. Conner was preceded in death by his mother, Leona Smith Conner, father, Andrew Jasper Conner, step-father, Jimmy Perry, son, Gary Dover, step-daughter, Sharon Walden Cathey, sister, Martha Sue Conner Gaddis, sister-in-law, Peggy Conner.

Survivors include, wife, Shirley Walden Conner, son, Micheal Conner, Commerce, step-son, Tim Walden, Clermont, step-son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Diane Haynes Walden, Cleveland, step-daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Gary Gee, Gainesville, brother, Tommy Conner, Maysville, brothers-in-law, Billy Gaddis, Macon, Ronnie Carroll, Gillsville, daughter-in-law, Jessie Dover, Jacksonville, FL, sisters-in-law, June Bryson and Judy Sisk, Gainesville, special uncle, Homer Shockley, special friend, Ferris Coker, 13 grandchildren, and a number of great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
