Helen Pass Bagwell

Helen Pass Bagwell, age 96, of Sugar Hill, GA passed away on Tuesday, May 23, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty years, Woodrow Bagwell; daughters, Donnis Bagwell Terry and Linda Bagwell Lynn; parents, Frank and Hessie Westbrooks Pass; brothers, Harold Pass, Franklin Pass, George Pass and Elbert Pass; and sisters, Lucy Harris, Evelyn Albertson and Louise Ballew. She is survived by her daughter, Frankie Bagwell, Sugar Hill, GA; sons-in-law, Jerry Lynn, Sugar Hill, GA and Edwin Terry, Suwanee, GA; grandchildren, Carol Terry and Tina Miller, Suwanee, GA, Brenda and Bill Petty, Homer, GA and April and Mike Gann, Buford, GA; great grandchildren, Helen Elizabeth Petty, Bryan Robert Petty, Abby Michaela Gann and Jesse Flynn Gann; brother and sister-in-law, Sammy and Barbara Pass, Buford, GA; sister, Gloria Pass Burton, Sugar Hill, GA; sister-in-law, Virginia Burell Pass, Sugar Hill, GA; caregiver, Monique James; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. Bagwell was born March 26, 1921 in Buford, GA. She was a homemaker. She was the oldest member of Island Ford Baptist Church in Buford, GA. Helen was a nurturer of plants and children. She was a second mother to her siblings and to her grandchildren. She doled out love as easily as she rolled biscuits. She exuded love and forgiveness. Her presence will be missed. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 26, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Arthur Southerland officiating. The eulogy will be given by Dr. Carol A. Terry. Interment will follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens in Buford, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, May 25, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Georgia Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals in memory of Helen Bagwell.
