Yvonne Nicolette Bryant Busch

Mrs. Yvonne Nicolette Bryant Busch, age 67 of 465 Black Mountain Road, Toccoa, Georgia passed away Sunday, May 29, 2017 at the Stephens County Hospital.

A daughter of Juanita Balam and the late Willie Balam, she was born October 27, 1949 in Savannah, Georgia having lived most of her life in Jamaica Queens, New York and the last several years in Toccoa.  She was a 1966 graduate of Charles Evans Hughes High School in New York and Laguardia Community College with a Degree in Business Management.  She was retired from General Fibre Products in New Hyde, New York as Accounting Manager with 25 years of service.  She was a member of Crossroad Baptist Church, a member and Financial Executive of Women of Excellence Full Gospel Ministry and a member of the Eastern Star.  She was preceded in death by her father, Willie Balam and by her husband, Horace Clark.

Survivors include her mother, Juanita Balam of Toccoa; daughter and son-in-law, Leonora and David Wells of Toccoa; grandchildren, Tonah Alicia Busch of New York and Deanna and Ronald Montas of New York; great-grandchildren, Tah’kye Jerrell Busch-Hunter, Sanni Montas, Jacob Montas and Ashley Hilland; brother and sister-in-law, Kevin Web Balam and wife Nadine Cotman Balam of New York; sisters and brothers-in-law, Jacqueline Cannon and husband Lenny of Toccoa; Marina Pygatt and husband Larry of New York, Sherelle Nesbitt-Rushing and husband Jarrie of New York; brother-in-law, David Word of New York; God-Daughters, Denise Jones-Carter, Nicole Abigail Sampson and Avani Freycinet; nieces, Marlena Word, Leah Pygatt-Smith, Tiffany Cannon, Star Cannon and Karyn Pygatt; nephews, Lenny Cannon, Jr., Ron Nesbitt, Joseph Word, Kevin Balam, Jr., Jordan Pygatt and Jeremiah Rushing; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and family members who are so loved.

Funeral services will be Saturday, June 3, 2017, 1 O’clock P.M. at Crossroads Baptist Church, 1660 Whispering Pines Drive, Toccoa with Pastor Marlon James Knox officiating.  Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
