Nora Dockery Ellis

Nora Dockery Ellis age 78, of Helen passed away Tuesday May 30, 2017.

Mrs. Ellis was born in Hall County the daughter of the late H.R. and Umie Mae Woody Dockery.  She was preceded in death by her sister, Ruth Turner, brother, David Dockery, great grandson, Logan McElwaney and sister-in-law, Pat Dockery.  Mrs. Ellis was a loving mother, wonderful  grandmother and great grandmother.  She lived in White County most of her life, graduated from Riverbend High School and was a member of Damascus Baptist Church.  

Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Renee and Larry Sutton, Annette and Dean White, all of Dahlonega; daughter, Denise Rogers, Sautee; daughters and sons-in-law, Angela and Charles Sosebee, Sautee; daughter and spouse, Rhonda and Susanne Brady-Lusk,  Lubbock, TX; daughter-granddaughter and fiancé, Brittany Ritenour and Jacky Lance, Cleveland; brother and sister-in-law, William and Juanita Dockery, Dahlonega; brother, Robert Dockery, Dahlonega; sister-in-law, Lillian Dockery, Cleveland; 9 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Friday June 2, 2017 at the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home.  The Rev. Ronnie Dockery and the Rev. Phillip Robinson will officiate.  Interment will be at Damascus Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
