Robert Richard Allen

Mr. Robert Richard Allen, age 63 of Commerce died Thursday June 1, 2017 at his residence.  Mr. Allen was born in Germany to the late, Elliot and Olive Beacon Allen.  He was a poultry farmer, a member of the Homer Masonic Lodge, and a member of the Shriners.

Mr. Allen is survived by his wife, Jackie Laverne Standridge Allen; daughter, Shannon Jackson (Heath) of Jefferson; son, Derrick Allen (Charity) of Commerce; brother, Ron Allen (Jane) of Gainesville, GA; sisters, Ruth Collins (Vernon) of Augusta, GA and Carol Clark (Jim) of Groveland, Fl; grandchildren, Harli Farmer, JayR Allen, Carson Jackson, and Cooper Jackson.   

Services will be held Sunday, June 4 at 3:00 P.M. from the Chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with Rev. Sherman Standridge officiating.  Interment will follow in Jackson Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 5-8 P.M.
