Belvia Satterfield Cowart, 78, of Gainesville passed away on Friday, June 3, 2017 at Northridge Health and Rehab Center.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, June 5, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.

Born on May 13, 1939, in Dahlonega, Mrs. Cowart was the daughter of the late Noah Satterfield and Lillie Mae Lance Satterfield. She was retired from Wal-Mart where she was a supervisor and of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Cowart is preceded in death by her husband, J.C. Cowart; sisters, Betty Ann Satterfield Strickland, Blonden Satterfield Lowery, Barbara Satterfield McDonald, Vernell Satterfield Davis, Bertie Mae Satterfield; brother, James A. Satterfield.

Mrs. Cowart is survived by her sons and daughters in law, Clyde Julius Ramey, Jr. and Sherrie Gordon of Gainesville, Bomba Lee Satterfield and Linda of Gainesville; sisters, Brenda Satterfield Putnam, Montine Satterfield Clark; brothers, Charles Satterfield, Mark Satterfield; grandchildren, Bo Satterfield, Justin Truitt Ramey; great grandchildren, Jake Truitt Ramey, Zoey Elizabeth Ramey, Tyler Satterfield, Hunter Satterfield, Camden Satterfield, Cloe Satterfield and numerous other relatives.
