Dorothy “Dot” Evans Kierbow

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Thursday June 15, 2017 at Pine Crest Baptist Church for Dorothy “Dot” Evans Kierbow, age 85, of Gainesville. Rev. Stephen Wood and Dr. Bart McMillan will officiate. Interment will follow at Alta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Ward’s Funeral Home. Mrs. Kierbow passed away June 12, 2017. 

A native of Carrollton, Georgia, Mrs. Kierbow spent most of her life in Hall County. She was the daughter of the late John Wesley and Bertha Lou Garrison Evan and was preceded in death by her husband, Weyman Kierbow. 

She was a longtime member of Pine Crest Baptist Church, Pine Crest W.M.U., Young at Heart Sunday School Class and Pine Crest M&M’s.  Mrs. Kierbow retired from Warren Fetherbone Company as production supervisor after 50 years. 

She is survived by longtime friend and God daughter, Lavonda Murphy, Flowery Branch; her church family; many friends and several nieces and nephews.
