Graciela M. Martinez

Graciela M. Martinez, age 61 of Cornelia, Georgia passed away on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at her residence following an extended illness.

Born on January 15, 1956, she was a daughter of the late J. Carmen Mares & Ysidra Palomares Mares. Mrs. Martinez was a retired poultry worker with Fieldale Farms Corporation with many years of service. She was a wonderful cook, often catering for huge parties of 50 or more, a loving wife, mother, sister, & grandmother.

Survivors include her loving husband of 44 years, Salvador Martinez Mora of Cornelia, GA; sons and daughters-in-law, Rafael Martinez (Maria Morales), Salvador Martinez (Araceli Fernandez) all of Cornelia, GA; daughters and sons-in-law, Martha Martinez (Miguel Lopez) of Mexico; Silvia Martinez (Roberto Hernandez) of Mt. Airy, GA; Elvia Martinez (Luis Ojeda) of Cornelia, GA; Berta Martinez (Rafael Ojeda) of Mt. Airy, GA; Maria Martinez of Cornelia, GA; 5 brothers; 4 sisters; 24 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, & friends.

 A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at St. Paul The Apostle Catholic Church in Cleveland, Georgia with Father Carlos Vargas officiating. Interment will follow in the Level Grove Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the residence, 485 Wood Street, Cornelia, Georgia starting at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 19, 2017.
