Helen Odell

Mrs. Helen Odell, 101, of Oakwood passed away Thursday, June 22, 2017.

Helen was the daughter of the late Hubbard and Pearl Roberson Watkins.   She was a member of Oakwood United Methodist Church most of her life.  Helen was a charter member of the Oakwood Optimist Club and attended the Gainesville Evening Optimist Club. 

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Carwell Odell; granddaughter, Leah Odell; step-grandson, Tony Smith; sister, Ruth Abercrombie. 

Helen is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Earl and Patricia Odell of Oakwood; great-granddaughter, Meghan Odell of Homer; grandson and spouse, Wade and Anita Odell of Sharpsburg; grandson, Timmy Smith; sister-in-law, Susie Odell of Chicopee;  great-granddaughter Ashley Daniel; 2 great great-grandchildren; 3 nephews also survive.   

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 24, 2017 at Alta Vista Cemetery.   Rev. Sandra Skinner will officiate.  Interment will follow in Alta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Little & Davenport Funeral Home Saturday, June 24, 2017 from 1-2 p.m.
