Lonnie Long

Lonnie Long, age 80, of Dawsonville, GA, passed away Thursday, June 29, 2017.  He was a devout Christian of the Baptist faith. He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Willene Long; and brothers, Terrell and Larry Long.

He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Nancy Stapler Long of Dawsonville, GA; children, Elaine Deaton of Suwanee, GA, Polly (Howard) Garrett of Cumming, GA, George “Bud” (Michelle) Long of Dawsonville, GA; brother, Dan Long of Lilburn, GA; grandchildren, Jeff (Honi) Deaton, Christy (Larry) Stocks, Jeremy (Nikki) Day, Jennifer Day, Mandy (Michael) Woodruff, Michael (Anne) Long and Dawn Martin; great grandchildren, Chase, Beau, Finn, Madi, Logan, Anna, Kayla, Brantley, Riley and Hayliegh; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Grace Brumbalow, Jack (Linda) Stapler, Annette Burrell, Dottie Stapler, Betsy (Tim) Lawson, Elizabeth Stapler and Clifford Byers, along with numerus other loving relatives.

Funeral services for Mr. Long will be held Sunday, July 2, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with Rev. Rudy Tribble officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 1, at the funeral home from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Sunday, from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service.
